Another update from Markville

So here we are, another week on in this state we call life. So what went down this week...well besides the ever present sweat of a runner I got my hair cut. Exciting I know, but when you have not had hair for three years it's pretty exciting.

Plus this time I got it cute at Aveda, because a friend of ours (Katie) is going to school there so she asked me if I could come in get my hair cut. It was actually pretty neat because the instructor would come around after each section of my hair was cut and explain things. Plus I ended up with a very nice haircut, and the price was right.

Then that evening, did I mention this was Thursday, well if not is was, went out for some nice Dinner and a few drinks with Fiachra and Laura. Then Friday it was more work and then out for some drinks at Paupers, and then to the El Mocambo to watch Danielle's cousin's band (tele) play. If you are interested tele did just put out there first CD...and if you buy that CD and look at the liner notes, I think you'll see that a certain "Mark and Danielle" get thanked...yeah I know...pretty rock and roll.

If you are on Facebook you can see some very flattering photos of me on both Thursday and Friday night...

The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxed, got to play some Zelda on the Wii and finally clear out all of my email and get some computer work done that I had been itching to do.

Hey sometimes I rock and roll, and other times I stay at home, what can I say?

Another weekend and the days are colder

Well another weekend has come and gone and the days are getting colder. The weekend was not full of thrill rides, instead it was full of cleaning on Friday night in preparation for the bachelorette and birthday party that was to occur at our place on Saturday night.

Saturday was full of waking up and going for lunch on a patio with heaters turned on so that we could stay warm. We being Rod and Andrew, the partners of the ladies that had left for their massage. Then we met up with Matt and his two daughters and puttered around the Queen's Street art crawl, where I picked up a shirt.

That evening and a few beers later, whilst the ladies were doing naughty things at my apartment Rod and I took the Wii over the Andrews and played until it was save to head back and to bed.

Sunday was full of late sleeping for some and brunches for almost all, then I finally got my act together and picked up my very own Wii. The rest of Sunday was full of Zelda, what can I say?

More updates on the stuff that I am doing

So last night Danielle and I went out and saw the Cirque Du Soleil show that is in town, Kooza now I'm not sure if it was as good as the show that we saw in Vegas (Mystere) but it was still lots of fun.

I mean the stuff that these people can do is pretty darn crazy, plus I really do like the clowns going through the audience and things like that, and although I'd never want to be taken on stage I really love it when they do it to other people.

So there you go a lovely Tuesday night spent at the circus...

Stuff I did some stuff on this past weekend.

So last week our friend Diane was in town, from Montreal, to start the school year, visit some people, and run a 5K with Danielle. Since she doesn't live in Toronto anymore she stayed with us, as a result we got to go to the Trane Studio to see her friend play the saxophone, which was cool since it was close by and I'd never been.

Then Friday night Danielle and I saw Sicko, which I really enjoyed. I thought it was better then Fahrenheit 911, I thought he played less "tricks" and that the issue was far clearer. I mean the only country in the Western world without universal health care, the American government also pays more per capital then any other western country for that health care. Plus the idea of paying for health care just seems so strange to me.

Then Saturday night was dinner and a movie with Matt and Natasha, lots of fun as always.

Sunday during the day was my first trip to Canada's Wonderland with Rod and Laura, and a couple of Korean kids. Generally I would say that I'm not much for rides and things like that, too expensive and the lines are too long. But I think that I was wrong. It was a cool and rainy day so the lineups were small and you pay once to get your ticket and then all of the rides are free. And I liked the rides, turns out I really enjoy roller coasters...who the frack knew? Plus Rod and Laura were good people to go with since they knew everything in the park and just led us around from ride to ride, plus they pack a mean lunch.

Danielle and Diane ran the 5K race on Toronto Island during that cool and rainy day, which I think is tres cool.

I had to bail early though and missed out on riding "The Bat" because I had received and invitation to go see Nightwatching with Ciao at the Toronto Film Festival which was cool since I had never seen a movie at the festival before.

Then yesterday, which was Monday and not really the weekend at all I got the idea to see if I could run a half marathon, which I guess is pretty foolish. I mapped out a route which apparently is only 20.5 Km, but I think if you add in all the twists and turns of the route that I sort of skipped over I think that it would add up to 21Km (at least I hope). So I ran it like a jackass last night after work and completed it in 1:53:25, which seems like a generally respectable time to me, but I really don't know.

So that's that, me doing stuff, I hope you have enjoyed.

Stuff I did some stuff on this past weekend.

So that's it for the summer eh? Looks like all teachers are back at work, all kids are back at school, University Students are looking for their buildings slowing my jogs, September is here again kids.
