Neat Story on Canadian Health Care

Here is an interesting story I ran across comparing Canadian Health care with American Health care.

Does it really mean anything? Why am I posting it to my blog? I don't really know but it is interesting, especially when you hear so much about how poorly the Canadian health care system is. And I mean this doesn't mean that the Canadian health care system isn't doing poorly, it just means that this study found that it's working better then it's American counterpart.

Oh well, slow day at the races...

Well I'm an Uncle...

Well I'm an Uncle...and Danielle's and Aunt.

So just to let you all know I'm an Uncle! That's right, my sister went in to labour late last night and gave birth to a healthy baby girl: Isabel (Izzabelle?) Emma Frost. According to my brother-inlaw Adrian everyone is doing well, a bit tired, but well. Izzy was 7 pound 8 ounces (I think) and 53 centimeters long, with Dark hair.

I don't have a picture just yet but I should have one soon, or so they tell me.

I'm excited becuase I get to see my niece this weekend when I jet on into Winnipeg.

So there you have it!

May Long or May 2-4

So the long weekend eh? Well Danielle and I didn't actually get out of the city, which is a pity (busta Rhyme anytime) but we did have an enjoyable weekend nonetheless.

I got to try out my knew running sneakers which seem to be saving me from knee pain, for which I am eternally grateful.

I also got to go golfing for the first time this year, and even though my golfing was total crap there were a few shots in there that didn't make me feel terrible. I'd have to thank Matt and his brother Greg for the great game.

What else did I do this weekend, well I went out for dinner and a movie with Natasha and Matt, and my lovely wife Danielle...went to MEC and purchased a wackload of stuff for our upcomming trip to Argentina, I own a rain coat now suckas...and a back pack...and a travel murse, well and maybe a few other things...

And that's about it, watched some DVD's played some videos, and read some pages...worked on some programming and blogging...and errr a used the word and far too much, in this post at least.

New Shoes

So, I'm now the proud new owner of some Brooks Adrenaline GTS 4 running shoes. Hopefully they will stop the pain in my knees that my Nike Air's from 1993 were unable to.

Actually if anyone is looking to get new running shoes, the Running Room has a good deal on, you can get a %20 off coupon from a box of Vector cereal, that's like twenty bucks on a hun.

So yeah, I also saw Poseidon last night, but I don't want to talk about that and neither should you. On a brighter note, Danielle and I did go to dinner over at Claire's place with her friend, which was very lovely.

I also bought fancy jogging socks, so no more double socks and hightops for me. I thought switching away from my old ripped shorts last year was a big deal, but this, whooo, this is gonna be way bigger.

Blazin' Hazen

Now I don't know if it's cool to put this up here, maybe everyone already knows everything that there is to know about Blazin' Hazen, and I'm light years behind the cool kids of the Internet.

Either way I stubled across Blazin' Hazen today.

If you are interested watch:

Demo 1

and if you need more check out:

Demo 2

Part of me feels bad for putting something like this up on the Internet because I imagine that this guy knows about this now and is getting severly depressed from all of the negative attention. Another part of me thinks, well you know at least the dude went for it...even if if..well you know if you've seen the videos.

It may interest you to know that Blazin is still around and even has a website. Seems Blazin is trying to make some cash off of his new found fame...or maybe this is some NYC Film school grads amazing graduation project and the entire internet has been bamboozled. Who knows...

Or wait what about this news:

On May 22nd, Blazin' Hazen will make a live appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. A new music video with Blaze, Leslie, and Cowboy Clark will be online VERY SOON. Also, Blazin' shirts will be available next week!

I just don't get any of this...

Visitors from Winnipeg

So this weekend Rochelle and Rod made the trek from Winnipeg out to Toronto for a some buisness/vacation. It was cool to see them since we haven't seen them in a while. We took them to Clinton's (of course) and to Fressen, the Beer Bistro, The Social/Spin Gallery, and to bet on the ponies at Woodbine.

It was a fun (if not tiring weekend) and I'm pleased to say that I think that everyone had a really good time. Well there was that moment that Rochelle feared that she was paralyzed, but we won't dwell on that one for too long.

It was also cool becuase Fiachra's friend Baz (short for Barry not Basil) was in town from Ireland so we were able to add another new commer to Toronto to our group.

Ahh yes the weekend, how I love thee...

Edit: I did forget to mention (as can be read in the comment section) that Claire was our guide down Queen Street West for the evening. It can be said and it must be known that I am not cool enough to be able to tell which bars are cool and which are lame.

Brie Cheese and Jam

So this morning, after buying a bunch of Brie Cheese
last night I decided to have toast for breakfast topped with strawberry jam and brie. Now seriously is this how Parisian's live?

If so sign me up, brie and jam every morning, fashionable and thin every evening? Could this get any better? Yes on weekends we'll have croissants and brie...
