Hijacking TV

I stumbled across this today and I thought it was pretty darn cool:

On 22 November 1987, sports anchor Dan Roan of Chicago's WGN-TV News Network was narrating the video of the day's football highlights when something highly unusual happened. The pictures on the station monitors in the studio suddenly began to jitter and twitch. Across Chicago, countless other televisions did the same, as Dan's clips of the Bears game were lost in a brief flurry of static and replaced with the sinister, grinning visage of Max Headroom. Most viewers were familiar with the techno-stuttering character from the recently canceled television program bearing his name, and from advertisements for the New Coke soft drink. But there was something unsettling and surreal about this rubber-masked imposter.

All-in-all I think this is pretty rad.

Post Post What's the Deal (strictly for the ladies)

Well this really isn't strictly for the ladies, it's for whomever or whatever you want to be. This post really isn't about anything much like my life. But Danielle's sister was just in town for Saturday night and Sunday, so we got to hang out with her on both days which was cool. Early Monday morning she had to fly off to Boston for work so it was a short trip.

Went out for some nice Korean with Andrew and Claire on Friday night, and then went to see Into the Wild with them and Matt and Natasha, which was also a lot of fun. A good move that Into the Wild, give it a shot if you want. You also get Eddie Vedders vocals throughout the movie which was a nice throwback for me sine I haven't really heard too much from Eddie and the boys lately. My fault for not buying there latest album or really listening to their previous one, whose name sadly escapes me right now.

Let's pause this post whilst I google for a moment. Riot Act, that's it, came out back in 2002 when I was living in Winnipeg, I remember listening to it during the winter driving back to my apartment driving down Donald street over the Midtown bridge. It was night and cold and I had the windows does, I was probably thinking about something. Fast forward six or so years and here I am in Toronto writing this from my home office about to go watch some Tv with my wife...shit's crazy sometimes.

Pearl Jam also appears to have had a number one song from their last album but I don't think that I've heard it, I'll have to hit someone up for that when I'm in Winnipeg for the holidays.

peace

Post Post Post

So posting has been a problem for me lately, stupid busy life. It seems as though October was a madhouse of work around here, November has been a bit better, at least it was until this week which is proving to be just as busy.

So what does that mean? Does that mean that I havn't been doing anything besides work? No. I have been doing things, somethings at least, umm I don't really know what though, seeing the New Pornographers play? Having guests from Montreal and Winnipeg crash at our pad? What else a wedding? Some jogging and some photo taking?

But tired, yes so tired is what i am.
