Sooooooo not to many posts in a while eh? Well just to keep you uptodate in my fantastic life, my parents came to Toronto, I got a speeding ticket, I went to court and pled guilty to a reduced fine and no demeritys...sweet. Went out to Guelph twice this weekend to watch Danielle's cousins represent BC in the under 23 Canadian National Hardball Championships. Got to the Rogers Centre for my First Jay's game ever...umm what other fantastic things have occurred in my life? Not much, but the whole ticket thing was sorts neat...you know stating your name and stuff like that and pleading.

Has it been one year already?

Image Credit: "sam brown, explodingdog" Title: Has it been one year already?

This was the image that I had made for Danielle and I on our one year (dating) anniversary (well I didn't really have it made, I sent the title into the guy at www.explodingdog.com and he choose it for one of his images) and since it was our one year wedding aniversary two days ago (August 20th for anyone who's counting) I thought I would resurrect the image and show it off to the world.

So, one year of marriage has come and gone and what have a learnt? Well for starters that I love my wife and don't regret getting married one bit, and for finishers I'd reccomend living with your partner a bit before marrying them regardless what statistics or ancient books tell you it'll make the transition easier for everyone.

Oh and get two cats, they just make the whole thing easier.

So that's really it, one year of being Married and all's well. I love you Danielle!

Footloose and Fancy Free

Well my folks were in town for the last 10 days and they left yesterday after a lovely vacation here in the big Smoke. Another member of my family left yesterday and that was my lovely wife who went to visit her friend Sarah in Brockville, leaving me, for the first time in a long time, home alone for the weekend?

So what's a kid like me going to do for the weekend with no wife and no parents in the big city? Well to start off the weekend I went for a jog! Oh boy! You can checkout the route I took here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=374976 The route you might notice is a bit all over the map, mostly becuase I was trying to figure out how to get on this belt-line park that I've heard so much about. Of course I was only in the park for about 1/20th of my run but that's not the point, next time, next itme I'm sure I'll be all in that park.

So now were does that leave me for the rest of the weekend? Well I'm guessing it's going to envolve me, the computer, the Xbox 360, some Cameron's Cream Ale, a little bit of 2Pac, and a lot of sleep.

Sounds pretty sweet to me, I hate to admit it but there are some things I've been meaning to do on the computer for a while so tomorrow sounds like the perfect day to di it. Wait, what am I saying, why would I have to admit that?

Route with muh Dad

Hey just a quick post here, my dad and me went for a quick jog today and this is the route we took:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=367539

Took us 32 minutes.

My secret agenda was to see how long it took us to get from my place to Castle Loma to try out Chris' tip. Turns out it takes 15 minutes, so it looks like my next run my be a shot at the belit-line parkway? Is that what it was? Either way that's the route.

Do you Jog?

So do you jog? If you do jog or bike or walk or do something physical that envolves distance and you wanting to know what the distance is you might want to check out these two useful websites:

Gmaps pedometer
Walkjogrun

Both work pretty well (although I had some small annoyances with Gmaps pedometer) but the cool think about walkjogrun is that you can check out other routes saved by people in your area. So maybe someone out there is covering a similar distance to what you cover but they have a totally kick-ass route, you might stumble upon that and realize what a fool you've been this whole time.

I'm still trying to figure out the best route for me but I was able to calculate that I covered 10.3 km yesterday which makes me very happy. Once I figure out a cool route I'll post the link to it here. If you jog and have a cool route set it up on walkjogrun and post it here, I'm interested!
