Yardoooo to Winnipeg

That's right sports fans, Danielle and I are heading back to old Winnipeg, we leave this Sunday. Woot. Should be a gay olde thyme.

I'm also going to see The Stars tonight, I saw Iron and Wine and Calexico last weekend which is pretty cool.

That's it and it's short.

Check Norris facts

If you think that this is funny:
  • Chuck Norris' face grew from his beard and his body followed shortly after.
  • Chuck Norris at one time worked for General Mills. His job was to be in the presence of the marshmallows so that they would truely become lucky charms.
  • On Neil Armstrong's second step on the moon, he found a note that said, "Chuck Norris was here."
  • Chuck Norris owns and operates his own restaurant in Lubbock, Texas. Knuckle sandwiches are the only thing on the menu.

And you've never been to Random Chuck Norris Fact site, I'd suggest that you go.

Some of the facts aren't funny at all, but some are so what the hey eh?

And now for something completely different, or more of the same

Some of you might know that I am a fan of mashups, well for the most part I'm a fan of The Grey Album.

As mashups gain in popularity it seems that more and more are being made, most I don't pay too much attention to, but this one made me stop and take notice. It's Q-Unit, a mashup of 50-cent and Queen, who could resist?

Weekends and tigers

So this weekend I met, well more like I was introduced to and shook hands with, Cris Cooper and Ryan Phillippe at a benefit for the victims of the Earthquake in South Asia.

The benifit was put on by my friend Cyma. It was a little bit of apps and drinks, and then the screening of God Sleeps In Rwanda, which is directed by Stacy Sherman, who is married to Billy Ray who is in Toronto shooting Breach, that is starring the above dudes.

Matt and Natasha came with Danielle and I to the event, after which we grabbed some dinner and watched War of the Worlds back at their place. (War of the Worlds is like half-blech)

So the weird thing is, why do I post about the fact that I was introduced to people that make movies? I don't know... they are the most famous people that I have ever met and it's a weird thing. It's exciting to meet them, but you feel like a total tool being introduced to them. Why do I even think it's cool? Why is it exciting? Who knows...

The above photo is of a local Christmas decoration that sprung up a few weeks ago.

Additional Note: If you happened to catch E Talk Daily on Monday, you might have noticed the segment they had on the benifit. You might also have noticed that sexy smart dressed couple in the background joking with the waiter. You might also have seen me eat some spanikopita. Mmmm Mmmm tasty...

New Edition

Hey everyone I'd like you all to say hello to Max, the newest edition to the Mruss household. I am of course refering to the Winnipeg Mruss' and not the Toronto Mruss'.

Yes my parents have finally gotten a new dog, after years and years of dog sitting and dog walking they have again taken the plunge into pet ownership.

Apparently this new dog is pretty smart and is already potty trained. For cats this isn't really an issue but they tell me it is for dogs. Ha Ha, just kidding I love dogs and cats.
