Karaoke

Karaoke and Claire's birthday were this weekend, well Claire's actual birthday is next weekend but who's counting. So some people came over to the pad, where we hung out on the back patio and drank some beer and had some snacks. After about an hour or so we headed over to the Karaoke place above Clinton's and went to sing. Turns out that an error had been made with our reservation and it was for Saturday rather then Friday, luckily there was a room open so they let us in anyways.

So we started singing, Claire (as always) did many Huey Lewis and the News songs, she especially likes picking songs of his that she doesn't know.

Luckily I was there to pick up the pieces and re-energize the crown with a stirring rendition of Stairway to Heaven, which if you talk to anyone was the highlight of the night. I didn't do that one alone though, ow no, Jeremy helped out.

Tomasini and Annalise were there as well singing their stuff, Annaslize suffers from being able to actually sing, something that I've never let hold me back.

Another highlight of the night would have been the all girl 80's revival that kicked into highligh gear just before we were leaving but sadly I cannot remember what song they sung...was it "The Rose." The scrotummed, sadly, we not invited to participate in that one.

I thought I took more pictures, but it turns out that I didn't and those that I did, didn't.

Atta boy

Sounds like a good time was had by all. I am trying to picture you kicking it to LedZep - and wondering how long it took the rest of the room to muntiny and start throwing things at you - I figure it about the time you sang "Ooh, it makes me wonder, Ooh, it really makes me wonder"?

Jimmy-Jam: Yeah, I've done the old Karaoke two-times and it's no secret that things get shiznit gets crazee.

Rigs Cartier: Karaoke ain't about singing, it's about heart, remember that. Well Stairway wasn't going over too well, my compartiate wasn't singing as much as he might have and people were getting bored with the slow part. It wasn't until the fast section and the high vocals kicked in and I let loose the falsetto, then people really sat up and took notice. I think I heard someone say "He's a real dream-boat" but I could be wrong.

Mark, I have a treat for you below...in case you love Huey Lewis and the News as much as I do

Blame my mother for that and my Rick Astley obsessions -god, I thought Rick Astley was sooo cute! He was my first official crush.

Hey Claire, I'm not surprised that you called me a dreamboat, when I was belting out Stairway to heaven it was like for eight minutes and one second I was Robert Plant.

I think everyone that was there that evening would agree with you Claire... "DreamBoat" I am.
