The World Cup is Over

So like most of you know the world cup is over, with Italy beating France in the finals. Danielle and I watched the game in a pub Kingston with Rod and Laura. The game itself was lots of fun especially with the bizzaro Zidane headbutt, but it was also fun watching the game in a pub with a bunch of people that actually care whose going to win.

After the game we went for some ice cream and got to watch the Italian fans do their thing.

When we got back to Toronto later on that evening we took a stroll down College Street in Toronto's Little Italy (only a few blocks from our place) to see what was happening. The stree was blocked off from Bathurst to some unknown easterly street. The streets were somewhat full of people walking around, or playing soccer, or waving flags. It was pretty neat but had the feeling or a street festival that had run it's course. I'm assuming that it would have to tres crazy to be there then Italy won.

The weekend was lots of fun visiting the outdoor art exhibit on Friday (the same one we visited last year) with Fiachra, Claire, and Shooter. Then on Saturday we booked it down to Kingston to hang and eventually watch the world cup finals.

There was a bit of "Catch Phrase" that went on and I'm pleased to say that ROD and I continued our streak of kicking ass.
