In Montevideo

Well, this is just a quick post from the Lafayette hotel in Downtown Montevideo (the capital of Uraguay) where Danielle and I took a ferry to for one day and two nights.

The trip so far is going really well, south American (and by that I mean Buenos Aires and Montevideo) is a really interesting place. It´s definately not what I was expecting, although I´m not really sure what I was expecting at all. Spending money in Uraguay is difficult since it´s like 22 Uraguian pesos to the US Dollar so paying 76 pesos for one litre of beer is just plain old confusing. If we were staying here any longer I´m sure that we would get used to it.

But today Danielle and I take the ferry back to Buenos Aires, meet back up with Jeff and Danielle, and then take the bus to Mendoza the heart of Argentina wine country (if the travel books are to believed.) I´m hoping that it´s pretty cool, 12 hours in a bus is a really long time, but the cool thing is that the bus seats recline to 180 degrees and there are curtains to block of your little area and you get food, vegetarian as well...which is cool! Probably some cheese pasta or pizza from what I´ve experienced so far.

Ow well I´ll let you know how the 12 hour bus ride went once I´m done.

Talk to you all later...
