I think the articles about the Met exhibit and the historical context of dress at tbe bottom of the page are extremely interesting. The photos of SkortMan, however, I find a bit odd: what's the deal with those sockies? and call me conservative but very few middle-age+ men can pull off a pistachio-green miniskirt.
A couple of years ago I saw a 20-something guy wearing a skirt while standing outside the cafe in the Tate Modern art gallery. I remember thinking it kinda odd and thinking that is one brave dude (people have gotten their ass kicked for less, which is absurd but the way of the world) but he pulled it off.
eeeeeeeewwww. i don't think that is the model to launch the trend. and his link to nieman marcus eventually leads to a full length kilt, not some balls in the breeze loin cloth like he is wearing.

Where do you find these things Mark?? haha lol!
You must spend some time searching the internet for bizarre things...
How does it come about? Do you just think "hmm, today I'm curious about whether men ever wear skirts. I should google it!"
Anyway, however it comes about please don't stop doing it...your blog postings make my day much more humorous!
