50 greatest Indie films of all time
Hey check out Empire's (who?) 50 greatest Indie movies of all time.
Be sure that you see that Withnail and I, and Donnie Darko both make this list. Withnail lives large at number 18 and Donnie Darko brings it on in at number 2. Take that Danielle, Jim, and Kap. I always knew I had great taste.

hmmm. donnie darko has been sitting on our coffee table for ages -- i have been skeptical about it (the description doesn't do a real good job of "selling" it, but number two ain't too shabby and your official seal of approval how bad can it be?
I haven't seen most/half of those films but certainly a number of the ones i have seen would make it on my list of indie-favs, in fact I would could Usual Suspects, among others, as some of my alltime favs indie or not.

I'm gonna go against listening to anyone who calls themselves "Empire" retgardless of how they feel about bad films.

Empire is actually a very highly regarded movie magazine from the UK... not saying that it means they are right (everything is subjective! there is no truth!) but it does mean that they are probably more informed than say...oh, i dunno, Mark for example (not saying that you don't have good taste in films, far from it, althought it was because of you that I sat through the trainwreck that was Coffee and Cigarettes), so I put a little more faith in their word than if it was his list of 50.

And Crash... have you seen this pile of predictable tripe... c'mon someone make something worth watching!! Where are my Coen Brothers??
